In this Blog we will see VoLTE Technology and how it is used. VoLTE stands for Voice over Lte

Voice over LTE (VoLTE) allow operators to offer high quality communication services using all-IP technology over LTE based mobile broadband. VoLTE enables a modern communications experience to users including services like HD voice, enhanced HD voice, video calling, IP messaging, content sharing within calls and new service innovations.

VoLTE users will keep the convenience of the mobile experience, using the built-in phone dialer and call screen with no need for app’s to make calls or messaging over IP. Users can also continue to benefit of a service with global reach, i.e. make and receive calls from any phone number in the world as well as continue to enjoy the advantage of roaming anywhere and still be reachable.

LTE Fundamentals:

BW of a PRB is 180 khz
so, 20mz contains 100PRB==>100*180K==>18Mhz+2(Gaurd Band)
                               50PRB==>50*180K==>9Mhz+1(Gaurd Band)

Power control

Main Aim of the power control is to control interference in the system. it also maximises Capacity in the system.
1.Open loop
2.Inner loop
3. Outer Loop

Open loop: We will control starting power in this PC. So that we can maintain interference & power in the system

Inner Loop: It is also called Fast PC. It takes place at the rate of 1500 . in this PC we ill maintain SIR by controlling Power and interference in the system.

Outer Loop: This is used in connected mode . We can control the quality of the system by maintaining BLER in the System. We also revise the  SIR target in inner loop PC to minimise BLER for a particular service.
